28-Nov-2023 (In Property Law)
Hello Sir/Ma'am, My dad bought a property back in 2010, where both the daughter's did not sign in the registration office has they were not in town. So we had a notary certified document with 2 of his daughter's, but Notary failed to mention registered number. As we were not sure about the notary register back in days, so in recent days when we tried to obtain the register number we got to know signed notary has departed. We tried asking his son but he refused and demanding for a huge amount. His son is also serving has a lawyer and public notary. Can anyone of you help me with an idea of getting a copy of register

Hi.
From the stated facts it can be concluded that you had lost the property papers. You can also get the duplicate certificate from the registrar's office again. However you need to do following things.
1.Firstly , you need to file an FIR in your local police station, about the property documents stating the reasons behind losing the papers.
2. Along with the police report, you also need to visit your registrar's office and apply for the certified copies of the property. On payment of the certain amount they will issue another copy of land registration.
3. However, it is mandatory for you to mention the detailed reasons behind filing for a duplicate copy of your property's registration papers, while making an application for obtaining the true certified copy.
