Apt with multiple blocks, structural problem - block owner or associat

20-Sep-2023 (In Property Law)
Dear Sir, We live in a community which has 13 blocks and its 5 years old community. Our bylaw documents states columns of the building is common area. it was noticed that the columns are not in good strength in one of the block and need to be fixed. Our Association had asked the owners of particular block to fund the fixing and it will not be shared by all blocks. Is it right . since its a common area the cost should be shared by all members in the community ? . Please advise. We are also working to fight against hte builder as he did not respond to the complaints.

In this case, yes, you are right in the common area any kind of issues like repair work or replacing anything should be funded by the association from the maintenance fund. I have a vast practice in that area you can seek my assistance in your matter.
