21-Apr-2023 (In Property Law)
My grandfather is a pensioner and has inherited the Ancestral property from his grandfather. He has 3 sons and 1 daughter. And now he is not willing to divide the property equally and is not willing to give us a share (eldest son) my father is the eldest son . So can my father demand a share in the Ancestral property , although the entire property is not known to be how much? My grandfather also is demanding his share in property can hi do so? Yes your grandfather can also claim his share in the ancestral property. In such situation as your Grandfather got the said property by way of inheritance from his grandfather which makes him the sole owner of the said property which means he can transfer the said property to whomever he wish to.

In encestral property every surviving heir has equal share.so you have every right as surviving heir. To get your share You have to file a civil suit for partition before competent civil court. For further assistance you have a meeting.
