Dear sir.
In Muslim Law there is no difference between ancestral property and self aquired property. In muslim law son or any heirs has no right in property of his father (ancestral or self aquired) . After death of person his heirs has right in that property.

Add pretty Muslim law, any property passes on to the next generation only after the death of the person no matter if it is ancestral property. Therefore during your father's lifetime he can transfer the property in your name by way of gift.

As per law and natural call you cannot and should claim right in the property when your father is alive

Though he has inherited from his share from property left behind by your grandfather

In any personal law no right is created in name of grand son or daughter nor u can claim

You can request for partition of properties your father has including herited from.yur grand father as per mohammand law and if your father wish so he wil do it
