Land distribution as per Muslim Shariah

19-Nov-2025 (In Muslim Law Law)
My deceased mother-in-law has left behind a residential land plot (Maharashtra). She has 3 sons and 2 daughters as her heirs,my father in law is not alive. If my husband registers her daughters (ie my sistr-in-laws) also in mutation process (ferfaar) as heirs. Want to understand how can we later divide the property as per Muslim Shariah law? Wont they claim equal distribution as against the 2/3 for sons? Is there any other way the distribution needs to be handled to make it as per Muslim Shariah?

Under Muslim Sharia law daughters and sons are legal heirs. Each son gets double share of a daughter. Mutation does not change shares. Property can be divided by mutual partition deed as per Sharia. I hope you got the due clarity.
