Harrassement by mother in law

Hi mine is love marriage agreed by our elders. I got married on april 2015 prior to that me n my husband known each other fr 5yrs. My mother in law she harrased me alot she nvr use to bare if me n my husband bein happy. If v had to go out anywher spendin sum tme wid other i shud ask permission from her incase if i go out wid my husband she wil show me hell in d kitchen nxt day mrng.She made my lyf hell i was nvr happy wid my married lyf. Insted she use to tel me i told my son nt to marry u he cud hv married his cousin so that she can b under my feet i use to feel bad fr all these. If i hd to visit my ppls place she wil tel me wen shud i return frm my moms place incase if i b late by a day r so again she wil start d harrasement. Now the problm is she cribbed abt me dat i don do ne work n all and also made her husband bhve badly wid me.somany issues hapnd n i came bk my home my husband nt caring nw been 6 mnths m. Left alone i don want to get separated i luvd him truly

You can file a domestic violence case against your mother in law. It is advisable in your case, that you request your husband and try to move to another house, unless your mother in law changes her attitude it might be difficult to continue further staying along with her in the same house. Most importantly in such cases we always advice to seek the help of relatives and other community elders and try to resolve minor disputes within the house, before considering to move to court.
