Who will be liable to pay motor accident claim

My faher bought agoods mini truck in 2004. He sold it off to his friend in 2005.the veh could not be transferred at that time becuase it was on loan. My father suffered from prolong heart dis and died in 2007. The veh remined in my fathers name. In 2011 the veh met an accident and one person died .the motor was insured but the driver was having passenger licence. My mother is alive who will tje court make party for compensation

yes, that fault your father after sold the said vehicle he wouldn't intimate the RTO. and there was an agreement to sale vehicle , if yes then you filed before the court - for discharge the respondent i.e. ur mother.
otherwise no agreement then u have contested the case .
but the said vehicle is duly insured so no problem means entire liability against the insurance company to compensate.

If your father was sold his mini truck to his friend but without any documentory proof on his behalf so in that situation insurance company and legal heir of deceased will be liable to compensate the victim of motor accident.
