Unless it's your business to give cars on rent or you're a contractor for travel fleets, you're not authorised to rent your personal vehicle for any commercial purpose. What you must do, is to get your vehicle re-registered as commercial vehicle. Then get a yellow number plate fitment done. Get new insurance policy, stating that you are willing to use the vehicle as commercial and you'll be renting it to third party for hire and drive on contact basis. get new PUC done. then go for national permit and clearance certificate from nation wide RTOs, sarthi website has the single window facility. get your car checked for fitness. finally get your renewed fastag with new yellow registered number and particulars.
