Received summon order but car doesn't belong to my father what to do

23-Nov-2023 (In Motor Accident Law)
My father, aged 82 years has been served summons in a car accident case. The car in question belonged to us till 2006, it was sold in 2006 and transfer certificate obtained from the new owner on a non-judicial stamp paper. But the ownership records in the RTO were not updated in new owner's name. Please advise.

You don't need to worry in thie. You can go on the next date of hearing as you have been summoned by the court carry the documents for transfer whatever you have showing that you are not the owner of the car since 2006.
