Met with accident while walking on the road

i met major accident. I was walking on road side. where one car driver who had not having license hit 220 c motor bike. that bike skidded with high speed hit my backs side my injuries are grievous in nature almost 1 year it took to walk ..rod has been placed from hip to knee. Recently i met police inspector .. he advised us to go through legally on car owner
You can file a case against the car owner under section 161 of Motor Vehicles Act hit and run motor accident. You can ask for a compensation from the car owner in respect of grievous hurt cause to you resulting from a hit and run motor accident.
