Insurance company lawyer giving very low compensation and closing case

We had claimed for about 12 lacs . Now Insurance company lawyer calls and abruptly says since you are not interested in 3.5 lacs settlement . we are closing the case , What do we do now .Pls advice
What is the case can you detail me. Is its a death case or injury case. Has you received amount under section 140. How has the accident occured. If its a death case you can go to appeal if you are not satisfied with the said amount
