I was riding a bike and hit a cyclist, as he was in a wrong way,

I was riding a Bike and met with an accident with a cycle rider, he was on a wrong way and hit me. I admitted him in the hospital and came back, but by that time the police took my Bike, and Hence lodged a case against me. Even though i was on the right way and was in a normal speed, this person lodged a case and since he was a poor fellow, the police is also listening to them. now the case is only showing Awaiting summons for the last 1 year in Court, How can i solve this issue? what options do i have?
Dear queriest, Since the the person had loaded a complaint against you, the Police has taken the cognizance and hence the case is before the court, therefore it depends on what sections have been charged against you whether they are of serious nature or not, and also the case will take more time for the same.

2. If the injury is not grave then settle the matter;
3. Tell the court that there was contributory negligence and wrap it up;
4. Mention the matter before the court and get an early date;
