how to complain about parking issues or illegal parking complaint online?

04-Jul-2024 (In Motor Accident Law)
A car has been parked for the past 4 months, and waste garbage has accumulated under it, causing a bad smell. We don't know who the owner of the car is. Could you please tell us how to file a complaint about this issue?

To lodge an illegal parking complaint online in India, start by visiting your state police department's official e-service portal or downloading a citizen-centric app like Public Eye (available in select regions). States such as Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh even offer dedicated web portals or mobile apps specifically for reporting parking violations. In Kolkata, you can use the Municipal Corporation's online grievance system to flag offenders.

If you're in Midnapore, West Bengal, you have a few options:

  1. Dial 100 to alert the Police Control Room, which can dispatch traffic officers or redirect you to the local traffic management unit.

  2. Visit or call your nearest Midnapore police station to file a formal complaint in person.

  3. Contact the Midnapore Municipality by phone or in writing attach photos and exact locations of the violation to help them act swiftly.

Although the Kolkata and West Bengal Traffic Police maintain helplines and public grievance cells, Midnapore's digital infrastructure may not be as extensive. In that case, your fastest routes are a phone call to 100 or a visit to the local police or municipal office, backed up with clear photographic evidence.

1) Make a complaint against the abandoned vehicle. They will enquire and take away it if it's owner does not come forward . 2) you can make a complaint in area municipality for emitting odour smell in area due to heap of garbage under the vehicle. They will remove the garbage and clean the place. You should make both complaints simultaneously with both the authorities.

Hi FIle a nuisance case under section 290 of IPC against unknown persons in the police station and police will remove the car and keep it in custody of court. It will be easy for police to trace the car owner by contacting Regional transport authority and recover costs if any.
