Got into an accident now victim filed for compensation

Hi sir, One day one of the motorcyclist had hit my car when taking a u turn, he was driving in a high speed and hit my car and fell down and he had major injury. So i immediately took him to hospital and joined him and paid for his treatment of rs 1.25 lacs. But now his uncle has filied a case on me for compensatition. But what is the mistake i have done here. He is not using helmet.

At the time of paying compensation did you have any written document to support that a sum has been paid by you to him as compensation. If yes you can show that in the court supporting the case. if not then you need to make an out of court settlement again which will rap the matter early
