Can I claim injury compensation in case of accident

I had accident and my medical bill paid by my health insu co. Can I claim for injury compensation? Is there any time limit for claim?
You must file a claim before the MACT court where the Investigation Officer would have filed the DAR or you may also peruse the case orally in the concerned Court where the DAR would have been filed, but filing claim is always advisable.The owner and driver are jointly liable to pay compensation.
