Auto driver has filed an FIR what should i do.

In Aug'16, my parents were coming to my place , suddenly an auto collided with their car from behind. That time nothing happened, infact my parents also left the thing over there. Now that auto owner has filled an fir against my dad. What should we do in this case though it was all auto driver's fault?
Has the FIR been lodged or its only a complaint. Has the Court summoned you regarding the matter. Trying wrapping the matter through mutual understanding with the auto Driver and amicably settle it. You need talk to the Police as well and find out the details
