Accident victim making false medical claims what to do

My 70-y-o father did an accident on road in which a 20-y-o boy got injured. We took him to hospital and doctor just gave him some pain meds and said nothing serious. We asked them if they want to settle the case outside court we will pay all medical bills. After few weeks we paid for their MRI. after a month they informed US that that already did an ASK tear surgery and want us to pay for it. We suspect foul play and that they are making stories. What should we do this case?
In the given situation you will have to ask for the medical reports and bills for the same if they refuse to provide you the same then you can abstain yourself from paying anything at all to them and let them file case in the tribunal for compensation. Your grandfather will be fined at most if the injuries sustained by the boy were not that severe as at the time of the MRI they did not informed you about the same.
