Need to quash proceedings filed against us

Hello We worked for a lawyer. Installed air conditioners at his home. He didn’t pay us properly & when we stoped work he started threatening us and filed case against us in section 173(4). How do we defend ourselves as he has converted a civil matter into a criminal matter just to extract money. Since he is a lawyer himself hence he has no cost to put case against us. We have 2-3 dates already in the case & now we need to present our side. So we need a lawyer who can get this quashed. Need advise on how to go about in the next hearing. Also would like to know the reasonable charges we should be incurring for the same. Thanks.

first defend yourself at the stage of 173(4) otherwise FIR or complaint case can be initiated against you. if you lose there and FIR or complaint registered against you then you should come in the High court for quashing the entire proceedings. In the High court, I can raise your side before the court and pray for quashing of the proceedings at reasonable cost.

on the above mentioned query 1. please file a complaint against such advocate in the concerned bar council . 2. attend the court on the next hearing and engage an advocate for representation before the court.
