Hire a divorce lawyer and get your divorce petition made.
File the divorce petition in the district family court.
Attach a copy of the police complaint with the divorce petition.
The divorce petition should be sent to your spouse’s parent’s address.
After receiving the petition, your spouse is required to appear in court. Even if he/she does not appear the court will proceed with your divorce.
In most cases the court orders divorce within 3 to 6 months but this is not certain.
