Tenant (Shop occupied since 1980)

03-May-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
Hi Team, We have a tenant who has occupied the shop starting 1980 and is barely giving any rent. What legal action should be taken so that we can procure our property from the tenant.

You can evict your tenant on the ground of Bonafide Requirement by filing a Suit in Small Causes Court. You have to serve your Tenant with a Legal Notice first for eviction. If he won't evict, file a case against him.

Hello! Is there any ground for his eviction available with you? You can go to Court (competant authority) and get your rent increased as per standard rate. If he refuses to pay increased rent even after order of court, you can evict him on the ground of non payment of standard rent. other ground is that if you want to use the said premises for personal use
