Tenant not vacating the property

30-Mar-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
I have tenants for last five years. I have joint property with my mother in delhi but my mum expired last year. Tenants are not leaving the property. There was written rent agreement for first two years but it was not renewed. Rent is either paid in arrears or most of it is unpaid. I reside in uk for past 20 years. How to vacate the property from tenants.

First and foremost, send a legal notice to your tenants for vacating your property and for paying the unpaid rent within a month. If the tenants fail to abide by the terms of the legal notice, then you can file a suit for eviction and rent recovery as well.
