I have been Renting a studio flat for the last 45ys .

Good morning sir, I need some information regarding my rented studio apartment.
I have been renting this place with my family from the last 45 years and now the owner says that he wants the flat back he has stopped taking the rent from the last 20 years we also send money order but they refused it the real owner has passed away now some children are living.
We have been maintaining the flat and also being paying the tax every year. Please help me what should I reply to the owners.?

Well, if the owner wants his flat back for his bonafide use, then, he will file a case in Court under the Maharashtra Rent Control Act to get you evicted, considering, you are not the owner, you are the Lessee in the flat.
