Can Evictions Notice Be Given On WhatsApp
10-Dec-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
My tenant is not paying me rent for the past 5 months. He usually remain absconding. Hence it is getting very difficult to give him eviction notice. If i send him eviction notice on him permanent address, I am very sure it would not be accepted by his family. And delivery status will show something like "house locked" etc. In such scenario, can i send eviction notice on WhatsApp. Will that be acceptable? Further could court summons be also sent on WhatsApp.
Dear client,
You can send legal notice to your tenant through whatsapp but there is a condition on sending it. Secondly it is courts discretion to send notice of summon to appear before the court.
If further query is there you may contact.
Thank you.

yes sir notice can be served through WhatsApp. But notice is no more mandatory now and you can directly file the suit. In any way it's not necessary that after receipt of notice he will vacate the premises, so better approach the court.
