One time option not applicable to Autonomus body for NPS to OPS

According to the GO (No.57/05/2021-P&PW(B) dated 03rd March 2023) and UGC order (F.No.3-1/2023(Admin-I/A&B dated 21 March 2023). Some staff of this Central University and other Central Universities are eligible for coverage Under Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules in place of NPS. However, some notifications are not explicit about whether they apply to the Autonomous Central University. Nobody is clear to us. Could you help us clarify these issues and whether we can convert NPS to OPS

Yes, I can assist in this matter. I have been dealing with service law, pension, government/UGC-related employment disputes and related representations/litigation for the last 21 years. The GO, UGC order, appointment terms, university status, date of joining and applicability of CCS Pension Rules must be examined to clarify whether conversion from NPS to OPS can be claimed.
