effect of FIR on police verification for govt job

13-Aug-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I have been selected for govt job recently. Police verification process has already been started.. but two years ago my neighbour had lodged an fir against my father for causing simple hurt on him. In that fir he mentioned my name and alleged that I was present at the spot, but no specific allegations have been levelled against me by the complainant. There was no mention of my name in the chargesheet and no charge has been framed against me in the chargesheet. How likely is it to adversely affect my antecedents in police verification?

I have gone through your statement. If your statement is correct, you are not an accomplice with reference to the complaint stated therein. Please do not revisit the issue again. There is no charge against you as stated by you and thus the stated incident doesn't have any impact on your PVR.

I do not think it will be any way barrier for getting a clean chit from the police. Apart it is on the employer and policy of the organization to take decision as to absorbing any employee of any police record or not!
