18-May-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I am a government employee. I am planning to teach students by visiting schools to schools. From schools i also can get some money for it. is there any legal way to do So. Whether by opening company or trust in the name of my wife, and being a trustee in that trust.Because here i am directly involve in teaching and no other than me is foing to school and my name and time etc. would be in record of school. please tell me the options for me.
Legally government employees cannot work part time elsewhere and earn money. The conduct Rules are clear on that unless you fall in the exception category. So if you are a government teacher you may teach privately with prior permission from the government. Establishing a trust might be possible but in that case you will have to ask for donation to the trust in lieu of lectures delivered by you.
Since you are a government employee you may have to seek permission from appointing authority to be a member of a trust, even though agenda of trust is to impart education. Also refer to civil service rules applicable to you for the same.
