Insurance company closed claim for my stolen bike

My bike was stolen on Nov8 night&Nov 9 morning FIR was raised by my first floor person as I was out of gurgaon.Whn I returned after 5days I went to insurance office but it was closed due to Saturday.I came again on Monday^ filed claim. They acceptd claim&assigned lawyer after 2 weeks.Till th time Untrace report could be taken from police almost after 1year of theft as police&court wasted my time,lawyer had closed my file &sent to insurance office,but he assurd case can be reopened.I went to insurance office for claim wth all th requestd docs but they denied saying your file was submitted late
We would like to go through the term and conditions of the insurance policy taken. Generally in these scenarios a legal notice is issued to the insurance companies asking for the relief and if the same is not granted we file a consumer case against the same.
