Giving 3lakh for getting claim reg

My father passed away in a road accident. He was working as inspector in paramilitary. Last salary drawn was nearly 90k. Family had 4 dependents. Age 47.After 5 years awarded amount was 1.15 cr. And interest @6% for 5 yrs. my lawyer is saying that if give 3 lakhs to insurance guys so they won’t appeal in high court which would result in us getting half amount and half amount will be hold and it’s the best course of action. Kindly guide me should I give 3 lakhs or leave it on court.
There is no need to pay Rs. 3 lakh upfront. This appears to be bribe and giving or taking bribe is a criminal offence. Infact, you have the option of appeal for enhancement of compensation. It is better to trust the judiciary (courts) and engage a good lawyer if u are not satisfied with the current one.

No you don't have to pay any amount. Even if they appeal to high court , they still have to pay interest on that.
3lakh is big amount, rather appoint a good lawyer for case.
