Query Regarding Affidavit Stamp Paper value for APS cert & German visa

17-Dec-2025 (In Immigration Law)
There is a minor name discrepancy in my records: my parents’ names appear with surname in my educationalyy docs and passport, whereas in their own identity documents, their names are without a surname. My own name is consistent across all documents. I was advised to submit a notarised affidavit stating that both versions of my parents’ names refer to the same person. Kindly confirm the appropriate stamp paper value (₹10/₹20/₹100) to avoid any issues during APS or visa processing.

For name discrepancy affidavits, there is no fixed stamp value prescribed under law. Generally, a notarised affidavit on ₹20 or ₹50 stamp paper is sufficient. Many embassies and APS authorities accept even ₹10 stamp paper if properly notarised. To be safe and avoid objections, ₹20 or ₹50 stamp paper is recommended.
