Moving to India for long term stay, beyond six months

I have an OCI card and am US citizen , I recently moved to India, do I need to register anywhere for my stay beyond six months?
as you are oci holder yiu need not register at any office for your seat beynd six months nor even at police station but you need to update in your passport status within 3 months of your stay in india
