Since the criminal case was disposed of in Lok Adalat as “uncontested – settled,” it is considered a compromise and not a conviction. However, DS-160 asks if you have ever been arrested or charged — so you should answer truthfully, as the U.S. consulate can access police records. The impact on visa depends on whether the charges involved moral turpitude or serious offenses, and how the case is reported in police and court records. I can review your FIR, chargesheet, and Lok Adalat order to guide you on the safest way to disclose this in DS-160 and avoid refusal or 221(g) issues.
