Getting Indian citizenship or long term visa

Hello again, Is there any option for a Sri Lankan to get settled in India/ acquiring an Indian passport or any other long term visa (not tourist/business visa) , apart from marrying an Indian or living there for 12 continuous years and what’s the procedure ? Getting employment visa is almost impossible since the law says the annum salary should be above a particular amount and it’s given only for the jobs that require specialized skills. Please enlighten me on this. Thank you.
