Change of surname in India after acquiring foreign citizenship

Hi,nI have changed my surname in foreign passport to my spouse’s surname after acquiring foreign citizenship. Do I need to change my surname in India in banks, adhaar card etc or I can keep my maiden name as is in India officially.

Yes, you need to change your name in India after acquiring Foreign Citizenship for distinct purposes. However, you may not be able to use PAN, Aadhar, Voting ID and other important Docs of India after you have acquired Foreign Citizenship.
