You have to fill application form in the GST portal to be able to get registration under the provisions of GST Acts and Rules. You have to provide number of documents to be able to get registered under GST.

Once all the required details are provided by you, it will be applied for on your behalf on-line, and GST no obtained. The moment the GST Regn no is applied for, you will get a Applied for Ref no which must be quoted by you in your invoices, in the interim.
