Special Marriage Act is the Civil Law applicable to all reespective of their religion. Age , relationship between the parties and marital status of the parties are the criteria considered for marriage under the Act. If you are of 21 years and your gf is of 18 years without any living spouse, both of you can marry under the Act. It is not necessary to change the religion and will not affect her job prospects.

There is no problem if you do special marriage for the government job. Even if she gets converted there is no problem for her job. You can get married and there is no problem for the job. What ever both of you think, you can do. It will not effect her job. You can contact me for a detailed discussion so that I can give a clear and proper guidance.
