We have to take legal action because mutually already you have tried to settle the matter but husband is denied to do so

Try to talk to his parents n sort out the matter, suggest them to go for counselling may be the issue gets sorted by Counselling. If still the problem persists then ask your to file a domestic violence case against him and harassment case under section 498A. Ask her to write down the details of the incidences chronologically and also make a list of her jewellery and gifts that was received during the time of marriage as it's her Stridhan. Further under the protection of police she can go back stay at her matrimonial house.

If your sister wants to stay with him then file restitution of conjugal rights petition in family court. After counselling send her with him on terms and conditions. Keep the petition pending in court and send her in trial basis. If he treated her well then continued it.

These are common issues in our society ,in those cases remidies are same types but how to tackle the situation depends on various issues I. e. whether your brother in law have job ,whether he is addict of alcohol etc.these can be understood only when you meet us or talk us or any advisor or advocate ,then and then useful for implied tat ion.
