What legal actions can i take against my mother in law for harrasment

am married since 6 years,I don't have kids.my mother in law started abusing me verbally since then fir the sake of kids and nt letting me go to work.my husband doesn't speak up.she even blackmails me saying tht she will die if I go for work.because of all these I evn tried to commit suicide BT it failed.aftr all this I left my in-laws my place and staying at my mother's place.my mother in law is calling my relatives and trying to frighteb them.i clearly told them that I can't stay with her anymore,even then she is nothing letting me live in peace.because of all this I am getting depressed.please suggest me if I can take any legal action against her.
