What can we do except domestic violence act.

My husband is not letting me and my child live in my matrimonial house. Divorce case is pending since 4 years and I am living in my father's house. He is giving maintenance₹10000.What can we do to live in my matrimonial house. Is there anything except dv act.

Under DV act you can also apply for residential rights for you and for your child. You have many options. You can also get a FIR registered against your husband and in-laws if their behaviour is intolerable towards you. You can even go with 125 CrPC. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

Filing divorce case doesn't make you any less entitle from your right to residence in the matrimonial house. However, Case in DV act can add an order of protection in your right of residence. That will ensure your residence in the matrimonial home. So go for the DV act case.
