We want to marry but girl has been engaged

We both are hindu and we are of mature age and want to do court marriage but the girl was engaged on march 2022. So could we still marry and could our parents raise an objection?

Yes, you both can marry if you are of age and want to marry each other. Certain documents are required for court marriage and your parents can't force you to marry without your will but you will have to take precautions. open to further queries. Regards, Adv. M. K.
