Threats received over whatsapp by family member

Me and my father and mother received threatening whatsapp messages from one of my paternal uncle. There is no property dispute pending. It was settled few years ago. We have ignored once and he is sending again and it is disturbing mental peace of father and mother(both are senior citizen). What is the legal way sue this person.
Dear Sir,
You have to lodge complaint with Police and teach him a lesson. If Police refused to register any case against your uncle then file private complaint through your Advocate before Magistrate Court. Thus, matter may be ended in compromise otherwise he will go on issuing threatening messages.
