Special Marriage act -Some officials proiding wrong information

I would like to get a legal advice about special maariage act.Myself Indian citizena and my Fiance is Malaysian. We woulkd like to do the register marraige first to expedite the immgiration process wince we are planning to move to other country and do the traitional marriage later, I have read about the Special marriage act and I don't see any problem with that. Would like to get legal adivce before we proceed.

The Special Marriages Act is the one applicable to you. Please approach the Marriage Officer at the Sub-Registrar's Office under whose jurisdiction you live in India and comply with the prescribed procedure. Proof of identity and proof of residence are necessary for you both. Good luck!

You are Indian citizen and your Fiance is foreign national you both can absolutely get marry under the special marriage act
First you have to access the Register office and book the slot . The particulars are both of your passport and the visa validity of your Fiance , 30 days notice period and 30 days residency proof and if they need they may ask NOC from Malaysian embassy if they need And also your passport size photos. After getting marriage make sure you get registration with above mentioned particulars
