Son not giving any maintenance to a senior citizen father

I am a retired senior citizen aged 77 yrs. My elder son and his wife do not take any financial responsibilities as a result I have to work to make both ends meet. They do not contribute financially. I want them to stay apart from us. How this can be possible?

You can file an application for maintenance and if the flat you are staying in is owned/leased by you add the prayer for him and his family to vacate the property. If you file under Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 ,the matter will be dealt with much faster and Advocate not required. The application has to be filed with the collector of your area. You can contact me for more information.

You can approach senior citizen Tribunal. Please consult a local lawyer who can help you with the necessary initiatives alongwith that you can also file a suit for permanent injunction directing them to vacate premises. Also consider mediation by family members too.
