If there is ancestral property then you have a share to it and can ask for partition. But if your father's property is self acquired then you cannot seek his property as a matter of right he can give his property to anyone. As an adult male you cannot make you parents give you money forcibly on the other hand there are laws where you senior citizen parents can take action against their children for not taking care of their parents. Therefore in brief going by the facts of your case you have no right to ask for any money or property unless the property is ancestral.

He has all rights in ancestral properties but cannot claim any right in the self acquired properties of his parents. He has all rights in joint properties aswell in which he is party. Book Consultation if you want further help.

Hello sir. I have perused your query. You can always ask for your share in any property that is ancestral via a partition suit. Please feel free to reach out to me in case you wish to discuss the matter further.
