Relinquish Share to another family member
08-May-2025 (In Family Law)
My Grandmother PERSON A gifted a half share of property to my mother PERSON B.
Person B in her will gave her share to me PERSON C
PERSON B passed away in 2015. I do not want to keep the Share and cannot return to it to PERSON A(my grandmother) I want to relinquish my share to my mother's sister PERSON D who is the second daughter of PERSON A.
After this my grandmother and Aunt can decide what to do and get an E Khata etc.
I do not want any share and want no right to claim anything.
Steps?
Dear Sir,
If the property is separate and not undivided share then you can relinquish in favour of mother's sister. If property cannot be identified then it is very difficult to relinquish the property. First get e-Katha in your name then try to relinquish the property in the name of sister of your mother.
