Regarding adoption of major boy aged 24 years

My relatives was having one unmarried son aged 24 years and two married daughters. However, the son was died and now they has taken son of their sister who is aged about 24 years. They want to legally adopt the son, how it is possible?

only a minor child can be adopted. it is not possible for anyone in India to adopt the child legally once he or she attained majority. The general conditions Required for adoption are the child must be minor there must be a difference of atleast 21 years between the parents and child a single male cannot adopt a girl child the consent of husband and wife is necessary except in certain cases.
