Question about Register marriage

Hello,
I live in Chennai, I want to know that is it mandatory to have parents when registering a marriage. I am going to marry my girl without the consent of parents. Is it possible ?
If you and the girl you want to marry have attained the age of Majority, i.e, 18 years for female and 21 years for male, then you can apply for registration of marriage in the Registrar's office. Also, keep in mind that this marriage is with her consent otherwise, you can be charged for abduction of the said girl. Yes, after the due registration of your marriage along with two witnesses.
