Protection for aged parents from son and daughter-in-law

12-Apr-2023 (In Family Law)
My parents stays with their two sons in their own house. Both are married and has two kids each. The younger son and his wife fights often and because of this they are unable to live peacefully in their own house. It is equally disturbing for the children too. when parents asked him to go out and live separately with his family, he refuses to go. Is there a law that supports my parents where they can decide who should live in their house, whether the elder or the younger son's family? if yes, how they should proceed with this?

Legal solutions are available. Either of the parent or jointly can approach the Court under Protection of Senior Citizens and Parents Act or the mother can take advantage of the Protection of Women against Domestic Violence Act. But the question is whether things needs be stretched that far? Things could be tried to be settled amicably. Moreover, some 'fighting' among husband and wife is the rule than an exception. It could also be that complaint against the younger son is a mere ruse to favour the other brother.
