Procedure of marriage registration if getting married to a foreigner

i am an Indian Hindu woman. i am getting married to a foreigner, who is from Afghanistan and Muslim, staying here since five years. we have a plan of moving to Aghanistan after marriage. I would like to know the process of marriage registration in India. as well as in Afghanistan. which would be easier, to register in India or Afghanistan..
If you wish to have your marriage registered in India, you would be required to file a notice of intended marriage with the marriage registrar of your place. That notice is required to be published for a stipulated period of 30 days. At the end of 30 days, the marriage can take place in India. Under the Special Marriage Act, 1954, a certificate showing the signatures of the person married, the registrar and the witnesses shall be issued. The certificate is required as proof of marriage and when applying for a visa to a foreign country.
The documents required for this purpose are- a valid passport, original birth certificates, if the person concerned is widow then the death certificate of the deceased spouse, if divorced then copy of final decree, documentary evidence regarding stay in India of the parties for more than 30 days ( ration card or report from the concerned SHO )

For marriage registration firstly you have to apply Registrar of marriage along with your photo ID proof and address proof of both the parties, Registrar will give you a date for marriage registration. prior to register marriage they intimate your local police station to cross check any complaint is registered against you.. after satisfying all requirement you and spouse require to produce Photo ID proof of both as well as 2 witness from each side.
