One of the joint owners took the ancestral property what can be done

My fathers brother got the entire ancestral property in his name though the family is of 4 brothers and 2 sisters and now he claims to be the owner how can I resolve the issue

You can file the civil suit against him and then you will be prove your right in the ancestral property by your relation to the former owner of property. But if he received the rights in property by "gift or will" then your responsibility will be proof of illegality of the deed.

If its ancestral property and you are a Hindu, then you have a right by birth in the ancestral property. You will have to file a suit of partition and claim your share in the property. The other brothers and sisters will be a party to the suit.
