No objection letter from which Embassy?

22-Apr-2023 (In Family Law)
I am US citizen with no OCI and I am marrying an Indian citizen. We are planning to get married in India. Since I am US citizen with no OCI, our marriage registration is done under special marriage act. One of the documents we have to provide is no objection letter from embassy . Do I need to get one from US embassy in India or Indian embassy in US? I currently reside in US.

Since you are a US citizen with no OCI, you should get a no objection certificate from your Embassy or consulate, proof of termination of previous marriage if any should also be produced before the registering authority/officer..
